Meet the team
Brody
Brody is our lead woodworker at South Sound Wood. His love of forestry and mountains brought him from Michigan to Washington in pursuit of big trees and adventures. With a background in forestry and arboriculture, he focuses on finding the right wood combinations and grain patterns to let the wood tell the story. Brody loves exploring the Pacific Northwest by boat and skis with his wife (and our marketing director) Sheelagh and adventure pups Dillon and Fern.
Jacob
Jacob is a forest engineer by day and our skilled sawyer and tool guy here at South Sound Wood. Originally from southern Oregon, he brings his local knowledge of the Pacific Northwest, along with an affinity for finding salvageable wood, to make our work exceptional. Outside of milling and woodworking, you can catch him scavenging Craigslist, touring forest roads in his truck, or mountain biking with his pup Charley.
